Diane, our Events Director, works with you in advance to understand exactly what you have in mind. On the day, your guests are welcomed, guided and looked after from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.

We work with you directly, whether that means following your guidance, incorporating dishes or recipes you provide, or letting our chef lead with something seasonal he has in mind. No two private occasions are the same, and no two menus should be either. We do not publish standard menus. Our chef can follow your guidance, work in dishes or recipes you provide, or lead with something seasonal he has in mind. Each course is built around your party.

Hosting a private occasion should feel like a pleasure, not a project. Diane works with you from first conversation to final goodbye, making sure every element is in place before your guests arrive.
She can advise on room layout, table configurations, flowers, entertainment, timings and anything else that will make the occasion feel exactly as you have imagined it. On the day, a duty manager is present throughout, so you can give your guests your full attention.

The Central is easy to get to, easy to move through, and close to some of London’s finest hotels, making it a natural choice when guests are travelling from further afield or staying overnight.
What is the minimum number of guests for a private occasion?
We can host a minimum of 10 guests for casual meals. For more formal occasions, the minimum is 50.
Can we bring our own wine or spirits?
No corkage is offered. All drink is supplied through the venue, with wine, spirits and bar service curated by our team.
Is the venue available exclusively for our party?
Yes. The Central operates on an exclusive use basis. Your party has the whole venue to themselves. There are no other events in the building at the same time.
Can you accommodate guests with dietary requirements?
Yes. Our in-house catering team can build vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements into the menu when requested in advance. Please share any requirements with Diane during planning.
Can we bring our own florist, photographer or entertainment?
Yes. We work with a curated network of trusted suppliers and are happy to make recommendations. You are also welcome to bring your own, and our team will liaise with them directly to make sure everything comes together smoothly on the day.
Is there parking nearby?
There is no on-site parking, but off-street car parks are available nearby. Single yellow line parking is permitted from 6:30pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
